USCIS announced that beginning in February 2024, it will launch organizational accounts to permit non-cap and fiscal year (FY) 2025 H-1B cap season applications to be filed online. This is significant, as to date, H-1B petitioners have only been able to file paper-based Forms I-129. 
 

Although the exact roll-out dates in February have not been confirmed yet, petitioners should soon be able to create organizational accounts and file H-1B petitions online. While it is not clear whether USCIS will continue to issue paper I-797 notices for H-1B filings, USCIS will host two national engagements on organizational accounts on Tuesday, January 23rd and Wednesday, January 24th (2 – 3:30 PM ET) for companies and legal representatives, respectively.  Each session will be tailored to a specific audience.  No registration is required for either event, although attendees are asked to use Microsoft Teams.  More detail may be found here.
